About MAGThe Mississippi Artists Guild meetings are held on the 1st Tuesday of each month (Sept - May) at the Word of Life Church, 670 Highland Colony Parkway, Ridgeland, Mississippi, 39157. The Social time begins at 5:30pm followed by a Business Meeting at 6:00pm. A speaker who is either an Artist or a subject matter expert on an Art or Community topic will begin after the business meeting. The meeting is usually adjourned by 8:00pm. Membership is limited and open to Active Artists who have attained the age of 18 and are residents of Mississippi. No person otherwise qualified for membership in this organization will be denied membership because of race, religion, sex or political affiliations. Prospective members must attend one meeting as a guest before making application for membership. Entry into the Guild is approved through a judged review of original framed artwork. Membership in the Mississippi Artists’ Guild is not open to the general public and is by invitation only. Prospective members must be invited by an active, participating member of the Guild to attend one of the monthly meetings held from September through May. Prior to attending a meeting, the sponsoring member will provide instructions for completing the online membership application. Once submitted, the application will be reviewed for completeness, and the Guild’s Membership Chair will contact the applicant with further guidance on the next steps toward membership.
